Sex Offender Information

The State of Wisconsin enacted the Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Law in 1997.  This law was  created to monitor and track people convicted of sex crimes and to provide access of information for police, victims, and thecommunity.  The website below was created to enhance public safety by making the information contained in the Sex Offender Registry easily accessible to the public and to enhance public awareness about sexual violence in our communities.

It is not the intent of the Legislature that this information be used to injure, harass, or commit a criminal act against persons named in the registry, their families, or employers.  Anyone who takes any criminal action against these registrants, including vandalism of property, verbal or written threats of harm or physical assault against these registrants, their families or employers, is subject to criminal prosecution.
