This February, we proudly recognize Black History Month, a time to honor Black individuals' rich heritage, achievements, and contributions throughout history. It is also an opportunity to reflect on the resilience, strength, and impact of Black leaders past and present who have shaped our communities and our nation. As we celebrate, let us also reaffirm our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion by learning from the past, uplifting Black voices, and working toward a future of greater unity and opportunity for all.

As we commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we reflect on the enduring legacy of Dr. King and his unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and the power of community. His dream of a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect remains a beacon of hope and a call to action for us all. Dr. King once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” Today, let us honor his legacy by coming together as a village to foster kindness, understanding, and solidarity. Through collective efforts, we can build a community where every individual feels valued and supported. On this day, let us celebrate our accomplishments and recommit ourselves to the work that remains. By embodying the principles of love, empathy, and service, we can continue to create positive change and ensure a brighter future for generations to come. Thank you for making our village welcome to all. Together, we honor Dr. King’s vision and strive to make it a reality.
