About The Village

The Village of Wrightstown is a growing and prosperous community (pop. 3,308 and growing) in Brown and Outagamie Counties halfway between Green Bay and Appleton. A picturesque community located on the Fox River, at the junction of Plum Creek, Wrightstown has the combination of small town character, affordability and great location.

Residential neighborhoods, located on both sides of the river, are friendly and have a variety of affordable housing options. The Industrial Park is located on the west side of the Village with excellent rail and utility services and easy access to the new US Highway 41 interchange. Growing commercial districts are located on both the east and west sides of the Fox River with necessities for a thriving community.

The educational needs for the Village and surrounding are provided by up to date public educational facilities that are recognized for the academic and athletic excellence. The public school campus includes one high school, one middle school and one elementary school as well as multiple athletic felids. The Village of Wrightstown also is fortunate to have two parochial elementary schools; St.  Clare a fully accredited catholic school as well as St. John’s Lutheran school which also offers a faith enriched educational experience.

The Village of Wrightstown has up to date Utilities that will provide quality drinking and sanitation processes for many generations to come. The current waste water plant was reconstructed in 2009 and existing wells updated in 2001. The newest addition to life quality in the village of Wrightstown is a 13 mile water transmission main which incorporates collaboration with multiple communities to supply Lake Michigan water, treated by Green Bay water Utility, and then is piped to our community. This pipe line will deliver a quality water supply for many generations to come in the Village of Wrightstown and will also help depress future rate increases through reductions in operational costs for the utility

The Village government consists of a Village President and six trustees, with Village Board meetings held the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM at 352 High Street. Each of these positions serves a two year term with elections being held every spring. A Village Administrator and a Clerk/Treasurer, along with a two (2) Deputies, manages the day to day operations of Village business. The Public Works Department currently has five full-time employees. Several of the operations this department handles include the wastewater treatment plant operations, village water supply operations, streets, parks and building maintenance, and sanitation care.

Additionally, the Village of Wrightstown employs a Police Chief and 3 full-time officers that see to the safety of the Village, with the assistance from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department during off-duty hours. Municipal court meets every month. A volunteer fire department containing a gamut of equipment and apparatus to assist folks in emergency situations from lock outs and house fires to water rescue scenarios, vehicle extrication, and confined space rescue. The department is made of a chief, assistant chief, 5 captains, and 18 state certified volunteer firefighters that provide service to the village 24/7 365 days a year.
