This career opportunity is available with the announced retirement of the current chief of police, who has served the village for over 8 years. Reporting directly to the village administrator, the chief of police oversees a departmental budget of $1 million supporting 5 FTE sworn officers, including the chief.
One PT Sworn, a Sworn Salvage Inspector, and a non-sworn clerk. The next chief possesses a strong moral compass and effectively balances liabilities, policies, and safety for all.

Description:
The Village of Wrightstown seeks an experienced and visionary leader to serve as our next Chief of Police. This sworn management position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the entire operation of the Police Department. The Chief ensures that our community receives prompt and effective emergency and non-emergency police services. Under the direction of the Village Administrator, the Chief of Police is expected to drive innovative problem-solving initiatives and uphold the highest standards of professional leadership.

The Wrightstown Police Department is a rapidly progressing agency that serves a population of 3,308 residents in both Brown and Outagamie County. Wrightstown is a rapidly growing community, both in residential and business, between Green Bay and Appleton, WI. The Wrightstown Police Department currently employs a Full-time Police Chief, 4 Full-time Officers, 1-2 Part-time Officers, 1 Salvage Inspector, and an Administrative Police Clerk. With the anticipated rapid growth of the community, the Village anticipates hiring more police positions, both Full-time and Part-time in the next few years to create 24 hour police coverage.
